Chaos at Manila airport

This is what travellers happen if they take the free shuttle bus from one to the other terminals. There are guys who should manage the chaos but they doing it wrong in all ways they can. The luggage is stacked by them without a plan. So at every terminal stop all the stuff has to get out and in as well as half of the people in the bus. The result is tat for a transfer around maybe 1km and only one stop it takes 25-35minutes. If you are in hurry go by feet or take a taxi…

First 10tkm done

So the first flight is nearly done. I am writing while I have around one and a half hour left to hit Taipei. The total distance on this flight from Frankfurt to Taipei will be 9961km. The plane was late and had a delay around 1:15h. So I am not quite sure if I will get my connecting flight to Manila because the planned interchange was only 1:25h.

I think I have to hurry after approaching Taipei to get the next plane. Further I will do 3 crossigns after that more than 12 hour flight.

China airlines top of the tops

I am really impressed of the China Airlines since I entered this airplane. It is a new Boeing 777-300 with the most modern interieur I saw. While I usually book economy class this plane blows my mind away. The walls are in a kind of wood design. There are mood lights and a lot of space for your legs. The chairs are really comfortable but the biggest difference to all other airlines is the entertainment system.

In every other plane I travelled the entertainment system is slow and laggy. Also the screens are blurry or low resolution and there is this ugly dirty remote control on the seat. Brrrr… but not here… take a look:

The UI has a look and feel like on the newest tablets from apple or with googles android. It is snappy, the screen is sharp, it’s bigger than usual and has nice colors and they implemented pinch to zoom. Even there is a lot of media to check out.

The in flight service is superb although I am only in economy class. There are usb plugs for charging your devices next to every seat.

With all that the China Airline is on the best way to kick my long time favourite Emirates off the throne.

EDIT: I have to extend this post a little for the service iself and the food. This team of servicegirls on this plane a working like the mechanic of a swiss wristwatch. I seldom saw a team acting like a gearbox like on that plane. Even special wishes where solved without discussion.
As I go on I have to get my best recommodations to the food which is served on this flight. It tastes delicious and has a good mixture of fruits vegetables and meat.

So the only error (which isn’t relly one) I found is that there was no pepper packed to my scrumbled egg…
