{"id":4975,"date":"2015-06-02T22:40:13","date_gmt":"2015-06-02T20:40:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/scheisser.net\/?p=4975"},"modified":"2015-06-03T08:53:37","modified_gmt":"2015-06-03T06:53:37","slug":"the-tick-advantages","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scheisser.net\/?p=4975","title":{"rendered":"The Tick &#8211; Advantages"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/scheisser.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/wpid-wp-1433278176840.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" title=\"wp-1433278176840\" src=\"http:\/\/scheisser.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/wpid-wp-1433278176840.jpeg\" alt=\"image\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So the TICK is on the way to go for further constructions&#8230; the next few days!<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming advantages of the TICK will be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>full buffered motors (don\u00b4t ask how I did this &#8211; will be reviewed later)<\/li>\n<li>full buffered 2D gimbal<\/li>\n<li>one of the lightest 2D gimbals ever have been seen (with controller, gimbal and gopro 3 black ~170gr, don\u00b4t ask how &#8211; same as point1)<\/li>\n<li>toolless motor removal\/exchange (important goal for construction but not confirmed right now)<\/li>\n<li>full carbon fibre (high density) frame<\/li>\n<li>flight times will maybe around 15 mins (with camera and gimbal)<\/li>\n<li>super stable flights (even if its windy &#8211; already tested)<\/li>\n<li>fits in nearly every backpack (even without disassembling arms, rotors, propellers or other things)<\/li>\n<li>superstrong frame materials with longitudinal strength\u00a0~3500N\/mm\u00b2<\/li>\n<li>small diagonal motor distance &#8211; measurements are at the moment around 320mm<\/li>\n<li>lightweight\u00a0multirotor (hexarotor)\u00a0@ ~1000gr (with\u00a0gopro and battery)<\/li>\n<li>high powered motors (especially choosed for this setup)<\/li>\n<li>highend and superslim ESC\u00b4s\u00a0integrated into the arms\u00a0(measurements 12x23mm)<\/li>\n<li>OSD<\/li>\n<li>GPS support if the pilot wants it (adds 30gr to the setup)<\/li>\n<li>super stable flights, did I mentioned this before \ud83d\ude09<\/li>\n<li>most parts are stock or modified from stock<\/li>\n<li>super lightweight and safety soft foam canopy which guards all the modules onboard (in construction for both the up and downside)<\/li>\n<li>full FPV capable (plans going on for up to 600mW VTX for international usage) &#8211; not confirmed at the moment<\/li>\n<li>cables planned to be integrated to the\u00a0frame (pcb layout will come in later versions because of the high currents of the motors, but not sure if this will work)<\/li>\n<li>super slim setup ~41mm without battery (backpack height)<\/li>\n<li>Gimbal is built into the frame so it is more safe in case of a frontal crash<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Anyone who is interested in this setup, never been seen on this planet so far, please feel free to contact me for a reservation if it will go for a series&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Testflights went on today 3 batteries are done from 2200 up to 5800mAh. The TICK can handle everything in this range. So further the tests continue\u00a0to get the best of power\/efficiency setup for it.
