As I dive more into the multirotor builds there are more ideas to construct the perfect copter. right now I am thinking of a quad with 2 tilted axis. So the gimbal is obsolete at this build and the agility is much improved to any other multirotor on the market. The pitch and the roll will be done by special axis not by the props itself. the advantage is more speed and more stability for the camera on board. I will try to get a workring prototype as soon as possible to test out what I am thinking about. There will be a fully stabilized cam on board with the same power and speed as a quad racer, hopefully. The design will be at 8-10″ props but more powerful than everything is on the market at this time.

3rdeye or 3rdeee TE981H firmware misflash
Last weekend I did a mistake and flashed an old firmware on my 3rdeye fpv monitor. So it ended bricked with colored lines on the screen. 3rdeye told me that I have to send it back to them (to china). They provided a correct firmware for me but there is no screen even on the av out to go back into the menu to flash from sd card. Today I decided to take it apart. While dismantling the device I broke the switch for changing between movie and recording which is not a big problem for me if I can bring it back to life. So here are some specs the vendor is hiding so far.
- Battery 3.7v 3200mAh 11.8Wh
- Cpu Zoran ZR36490BGF
- SK hynix HY27US08561A (memory)
- SK hynix H5PS5162GFR (sdram ddr2)
- Techwell TW9910 (video decoder)
- SM201R (120mW video receiver)
Also there are only 5 buttons on the front frame but on the mainboard there are 6 buttons one is on the top which maybe only does a reset of the device. I will try my luck and hopefully find a way to flash it by myself.
Eachine racer 180 carbon
The eachine racer is build from weak material. Eachine used a hybrid or mixed material out of carbon and I think fibreglass. Thats why they can offer this tiny devil for a really cheap price. Fibreglas is more flexible than carbon so the longitudinal strenght is around the half of carbon and the weight is at the same time up to 2 times higher than carbon. As far as I can see they used a hybrid which looks like carbon from the outside layer but is weaker and flexible. So the weight is higher than pure carbon. I will go into this later when I will go for optimizing the fotzie more. Attached there is a photo from the milling dust. At carbon the dust is completely black. Milling parts from the eachine will be a mixture of black and white which is a indication for another material. Eachine tried to find the best of all worlds. A cheap price and minimum costs.
My conclusion of this is mixed. They used weak and heavier materials for the frame and at the same time they use plastic screws on the mountings for the FC and the power distribution board. As far as I go deeper into the construction I figure out the weak points of this setup.
