My plan is to make a small hole next to the SD card slot and guide a flat USB cable though there to a powered USB hub.
Since I will use my miix as a CarPC with navigation, handsfree, OBD2 etc I might also use the power source pins to charge the unit and not having to use a bulky micro usb cable.
Then i think the better solution is the USB-OTG-cable for you. there you can use a powered usb Hub or without it is working like a charm. This internal mod is much more for enthusiasts which want to expand the internal memory or like me want to have a 3G connection everywhere. If you want to use external devices then the otg cable is the much better solution.
Already use an OTG cable, the thing is that I want to have a clean install without an adapter plugged in to the side of the tablet.
